Day 8

Author: Owen B.
Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
The day started like a scene from the movie "The Perfect Storm." Someone had to step up and as fate would have it, I was skipper. I knew it would be rough in these choppy seas, but I was confident in my crew and myself. I decided to head to Anegada after resupplying in Leverick Bay. It was a bold move but I made the final decision to go. I expertly maneuvered my vessel through the vast ocean while waves pounded the hull. Finally we arrived, my crew sat exhausted while I scouted the area. I deemed it safe and allowed everyone to go onto the beach to eat lunch. When everyone was fed I made the order to return to ol' No Horizons. I arrived to find a giant octopus trying to drag it under. I quickly fought it off. Before I even had the chance to rest I embarked on the treacherous journey to the fabled "Mountain Point. My crew was discouraged but I was not. I had hope. Maybe it was foolish. These thoughts quickly disappeared when I spotted land and yelled "land hoooooo!" My tired crew even let out a smile. I attached the boat to a mooring ball with help from my trusty crew. I sat back and thought "Another journey complete. I wonder what the big blue will have in store for me next. Bring it on."
