As the first day draws to a close, the excitement is already palpable. After swim tests which served as a very welcome dip in 30 degree heat, reunions and the meeting of new faces began. Groups have been associating since midday and all of the instructors/DMs have been very welcoming and in high spirits. Dinner preparation commenced after six o'clock and new members familiarized themselves with the boat; some familiarized themselves with cooking utensils for the first time (!). Nonetheless, with a bit of help from the skipper, the pasta turned out to be really rather delicious. A tropical storm has cooled the night air and we are all looking forward to shipping out tomorrow.
