Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
As I slowly pulled my seemingly ten ton head, with all of my hair standing up on end, off my bleach white pillow, I looked around at the salon and galley. It consisted of twelve teenagers crammed on top of each other trying not to get wet from the pouring rain from the night before. Nine shipmates were crammed in the salon. Two were on the floor, one of the being me, and the last one was found sleeping on top of the counter. Once we got our day going we went underway and sailed in the roughest water we have encountered yet. We each took turns on the helm and sailed for a good few hours until we stopped for lunch at White Bay, Guana Island, on some of the most beautiful sand I have ever seen. Once we got back onto the boat we weathered a second wave of rain from the night before that slowly came towards us, we literally watched the gusts of wind and rain fly across the water towards our boat. Seeing that was definitely the highlight of the majority of the boat. To top that off today was linen changing day (yay), and overall, Day 12 was one to remember.
