Today was easily the most exciting day of our trip. Later than usual, we awoke to eat french toast and fruit salad. Unfortunately, our dive instructor Danielle left us for the day for a special dive. However, we were honored by the company of her sister, Roxy. The beginning of our day was calm compared to our afternoon. We split into groups, boys and girls, in order to practice for our upcoming pratical for the IYT cert. The girls sailed from Marina Cay to get us closer to our destination, and then switched with the boys, who though they hit some squalls, anchored successfully at White Bay, where we spent 45 minutes laying on the beautiful island. As we left the beach to practice our man overboards, we hit a storm. Our skipper Kevin steered us to safety. Luckily our sails were double reefed, though we did heel over so much that our lifelines touched the water. After anchoring we relaxed, for our plans had been changed with the weather. As Kevin ran around in our dinghy Buzz to check on the other boats, Danielle returned. The movie White Squall followed dinner, which concluded our day. In all, our day was action packed, filled with surprises and a few new experiences. No one went to sleep without a smile on their face.
