Location: Quito to the Amazon
We woke up early to get on our 30 minute flight to the Amazon. When we stepped off the flight the humidity immediately hit us. The windy bus ride to Coca, where I accidentally spilled juice on the man next to me, was an hour long and very scenic. Once we arrived in Coca and met Hector we got our boots fitted and hopped on a 45 minute canoe ride to the Yarina Lodge. We then got into our cabins and left to Hector's island for a hike through the rain forest. The hike was very beautiful but I missed most of it because of all the insects that were attacking me. After we got out of the rainforest we went back to the lodge, had an amazing dinner, put our mosquito nets down and had a goodnight sleep.
