Hola Amigo!

Author: Michi
Location: The Amigo and Floreana Island
The day we had all been waiting for finally arrived! :) After falling asleep in the harbor of Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island, Amigo set off to the gorgeous island of Floreana. We woke up early - around 6ish - and had a yummy breakfast to get ready to explore our first Galapagos island. It was a wet landing, but we made it safely ashore. Our first stop was to see the flamingos. Unfortunately there weren't too many, but at least we spotted a few and a white baby one too! We saw a few lizards on our way to an amazing beach on the other side of the island, where we relaxed and enjoyed its beauty for a while. But the best was yet to come...

Amigo picked up anchor and set off to the most amazing spot. Eagerly we grabbed our snorkeling gear and hopped on the panga, ready to swim with the sea lions and our most awaited moment: Megan's confrontation with her worst fear: the cute sea lions. Flopping backward off the panga, we went off in search of the sea lions and found them quickly! They were very curious and playful and so much fun to swim with! Estuvo increible!!!!

As we sat in the front of the boat tanning and talking, once again, we picked up anchor and returned to our morning spot to enjoy the afternoon and have another scrumptious meal. Adventuring off, we went down into the darkest caves ever with only a flashlight and two iPhones. Luckily we made it out alive after reaching its farthest point, the salty water pond. We had the rest of the afternoon to enjoy the beach however we wanted - building sand casles, tanning, reading, snorkeling, and swimming with sea turtles!
