Arrived safely

Location: Miami to Quito
I arrived at the airport and after saying final farewells to my father, I embarked on my odyssey. After making it past the sentries of security, I made my way to the appointed gate of departure. I met two of my other fellow adventurers and there was much rejoicing. Upon entering the airplane, my comrades took their appointed seats and I did the same, two rows behind. The flight passed uneventfully except for a little lurching of the flying metal beast and upon landing in the land of flowers, we endeavored to discover what others we might find. Upon leaving the concourse of our arrival, we were beset by an unknown person, who revealed themselves later to be one of our captains for the duration of our undertaking. Other travelers began to bolster our ranks and soon our numbers swelled to a full company. We flew to the fabled land of Quito and were impressed by the sprawl of the city. In customs, we lost one of our number and after a period of lament, continued onward to our camp and bedded down for the night.
